When Aragón becoms the crown of Aragón it faction simbol changes.
But why does it appear to me that its factions icon seems to be a multiud of yellow and red verticle bars?
I thought it was four red bars on a field of gold\yellow.![]()

I'm not really sure why it appears that way to you because I don't know what you're looking at. In DotS, Aragon's symbols and banners will be historically accurate. The correct change will be scripted to happen if we can manage to make M2TW work that way.
Relax, my friend, those are being accurate....I am on it
Tranquilo mańo, que yo estoy al cargo con eso![]()
I´m Aragonese, my friend =) de Zaragoza! I will try to do my best with Aragon, trying to represent the duality of Catalonia and Aragon inside the Crown (for example, we will have different traits and ancillaries, and if possible, government buildings for the different regions of the Crown, or that´s what I pretend). Also, the names of units and buildings will be both in Aragonese and Catalan, reflecting the cultural richness of our country
I hope Aragon will emerge someday, not as a State, but as a cultural (and bilingual) and powerful region...but I think this is not the moment in which this is happening
WE ARE NOT THE SAME THING! Basques have nothing to do with Catalonians, and Aragonese and Catalonians are not the same people, nor we are not the same that Castillians or Andalusians. We have a lot of common things but we are different between us.
By the way, if you have any suggestion about the way to represent Aragon in-game, just PM mesuggestions are always welcomed!
ENTALTO ARAGÓN!
I have been to San Sebastian (in the Basque lands), Aragon and Catalunya and I can tell you they are definitely not the same thing.
I haven't been back to check on the mod for a while - but I saw this thread and had been meaning to post this:
http://webcache.googleusercontent.co...&gl=au&strip=1
I had to link to the cache because the original link seems to be dead. I think it gives a nice summary of what we should hope to see from Aragonese units.
I've never felt that any version of the almogavars has been implemented properly in any M2TW mod.
The problem seems to be that it is difficult to represent the idea of light/no armour shock troops within the mechanics of the M2TW engine - because they don't have armour (and history suggests that they mostly didn't carry shields either) they seem to just get shredded in combat and I could never really find a way around that without making them overpowered (making defence really high).
I also could never get them to be effective enough at deterring cavalry charges with their javelins without overpowering them against infantry.
I hope you guys can find a way to represent the ins and outs of aragonese warfare (almogavars, use of armoured horse, prominence of crossbow militias) accurately - I don't think any other mod has really succeeded, but I think Aragon is more important to this mod than it has been in others - best of luck!
