    Default Quick Question

Ok. so i got Medieval 2 total war and now i want to get rome total war....but as i was screwing around on the "can you run it" type site it said i cannot run Rome Total War because of my video card but i can play medieval 2 total war perfectly

Now I'm 99% sure i can run it perfectly fine as i can run M2TW perfectly fine....but it would rest my conscience a little if someone else agreed lol......this coming from the reason that i bought empire total war but it runs too laggy and you cant enjoy it....but unfortunately my touchsmart is "essentially" a laptop so i cant upgrade my graphics card

    Thanks

Well ... posting what kind of video card you've got might help with responses as to whether or not Rome will play with it. Just a thought.

As for the potential problem - I remember reading (somewhere) that there are issues with a certain line of NVidia graphics cards (lack of backwards compatibility?), but I don't know. I have an NVidia GEForce 9100 and Rome works fine (alongside Win7 64-bit).
I beat back their first attack with ease. Properly employed, E's can be very deadly, deadlier even than P's and Z's, though they're not as lethal as Paula Abdul or Right Said Fred.

While it sounds strange that RTW shouldn't work when M2TW works - i have this old 2nd pc - a single core 2.8 ghz with a new
grafix card ATI 4650 (1gb vram) - and M2TW is running better than RTW on it - both games are playable on it, it's just that
it seems to me M2TW is running smoother in big battles (especially siege ones).

Rome will play on about anything that can run XP or XP compatibility mode. It was not optimized for these new rigs. It may not run "as good" as Medieval2 but it's a generation older in software terms.
I can run it fine for me with Win 7, 64 bit, Phenom II 3.0, 4gigs of ram, and 9800GT with 512mb vram, and all settings maxxed.

I can run it (mostly mods - RTR VII and RSII Beta) on my rig -

    Intel Core i7 Extreme processor 975(3.33GHz,8MB L2 cache,6.4GT/sec)
    Memory : 6144MB (3 x 2048) 1067MHz DDR3 Tri-Channel
    Graphics : 1.8 GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX295
Operating System : English Genuine Windows Vista SP1 Home Premium (64 BIT) - upgraded to similar Windows 7 Home Premium (64bit)

    Dell 3008WFP (2560 x 1600 resolution (native))

I think it's possible to get lag on large sieges simply as the gephics to draw the settlement can be a bit of a drain.

Umm...actually listing your PC specs would be a big help here.
