95+% of empire total war players are complete morons!

Lately I've been playing more total war, I've hosted around 30 1vs1 no rules battles. Out of those battles every person (except like 4) either spammed 8-20 rifles or took a bunch of mortars. I don't mind the spam, I didn't want cheaters and rifle spam is common on flats. What I am pissed about is that they all rage quit. I have only had a few 1vs1 battles last to the end.

After all that I decided to play 2vs2s. Well I joined a ranked with random allys and opponents. and as soon as the game starts my ally quits. I try the same thing a few more times and my allys quit or drop as soon as they start lossing, dispite the fact that I could have easily helped them.

Well the last straw came today. I joined a battle hosted by a total noob with likr 16 hours playing time. But I was cool with that dispite it baing a ranked battle. I asked him before the battle if he would quit. and he stated "I would never quit for any reason". So I felt good and we strated teh battle. Well my noob ally puts all his line inf in a big blob and mass rushes his enemys right flank while losing 30+ men every time a cannon ball hit the blob. I was easliy owning my guy, I had lost about 4 units and had completely destroyed my guy when my ally says "I lost" then quits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is the last time I play with a random ally!.

This would be new to me if I hadn't already played Empire for a while when it first came out.

My first opponent I lost to. He brought Austria, brought Wind Jaegers, Mortors, staked, and camped on a hill. So I faced the biggest one of them all and that guy had the nerve to try to give me advice on how to play better

You did said no rules, so guess your no rules on not rage quitting weren't specified

reguardless of rules people should not quit lke that as a matter of courtesy. I did have one guy tell me that he had no chance of winning and asked if he could leave. That is the right way it should be done. In a ranked 1vs1 you should allways ask, and only quit if the other person agrees. In a ranked 2vs2 - 4vs4 you should only quit if your allys say it's ok and your enemys. If some one wants to save a replay or try to get the most kills then you must stay to the end.

In unranked the only time to quit is when all of your units have routed with no hope of rallying, That does not mean to mass charge you emeny so you can leave early. And of course if you are the host of an unranked you cannont leave unless everyone else has or else they say it's ok. ^ The above are common rules that everyone should know and follow. thanks

i agree. Way too many people online care too much about having a few stars next to their name, many to the point where winning is more important than having fun. I just don't get these people. Some of my favorite battles have been when I've lost.

Generally, don't join ranked games. In unranked there are far less quitters as it doesn't give them any advantage. You still get the spammers though.

This may not be your ally's fault. There have been a few times where I've joined a 2v2 match, and the game's just never loaded - it takes me straight back to the lobby. I don't know whether this is because the host's connection failed, or if I just dropped - there's no message. It is therefore possible that the game just failed to load for your ally.

I know about that, but this was his fault, because the battle loaded, I was done deploying my men as was he, the count down timeer was at 40 seconds.

Quitting is quite common. Disconnecting is the most annoying.

I dont play ETW online often but when I do I'm lucky enough to fight a determined player. So not many have quit on me (maybe they thought they were going to win?
