Hi all,
This might will be usefull for all roman time frame modders..I'm making this officer for my myth-mod. In this fantasy universe the armies of the humans were always mentioned as " legion" so I thought it would be really cool to have a kind of "roman-style" officer for the units...I'm thinking about adding the bearskin too
But the thing is...
- it's not finished yet..
- I should improve the waving cycle..
- just as TSD's officer this one also uses his banner as a pike...
- and the flag movement only applied to standA idle so far...
but with lot of work it could be a nice add-on...
of course for those who don't use the default banners
(I'll try to make him fight with sword and hold the standard with the other hand..but that's a lot of work...)
I'm gonna upload the necessary files and make them available for everyone, as soon as I can...)

When I ever get to release the mod just as custom-battle mod...there won't be Warlocks...think about this mod as a Myth the Fallen Lords reform...
But... After I'm and everybody statisfied with the mod itself..(I'm just hoping this.)....I'm gonna add all the MythII Soulblighter units..including
from the Light side
- warlock
- Dwarf mortar
- Human bowman
- Heron guard
from the Dark side
- Ghast
- Brigand
- Stygian Knight
- Maul
- bre' Unor
- Myrkridia
- Myrkridian Giant
But that's a whole lot of work...Right now I'm focusing on finish the MythTFl units....

I posted here really long ago..
Anyway..just for you to know I'm working on it and actually I'm multitasking the mod...little modelling here...some texturing there...I'm messing with animations, bones, end effect..these kind of things...
and I added several features...one of my favourites which is kinda cheap solution but it works well...
My undead army won't carry torches at night battles...it's really scary....I mean ..I added Ziher's Darker night mod...and since I don't use banners...and I can't see little glowing orbs from torches...the whole night battle could be full of surprises....
If I can manage to implement the Wight then probably he'll be the most dangerous unit in a night battle...you can't see from where he is coming from and suddenly BOOM!...half of your army burned down to ashes...
My torch hiding technique isn't perfected yet though..there is one minor glitch but I'll fix it...

I'm not saying that..without a campaign can't compete with the others anyway... And I couldn't make the wight's yet...soo..my goal is just to bring some different strategy to battlefields than usual...
Slow hordes of zombies and..night battles where the enenmy can really ambushing you..and there was one really excellent feature in the original game...which I doubt I could bring it back...
You could hide your zombies under water..in a lake for example...and make your ambush from the water...now if I could make that..I would be happy..

Thx. I'm a Max user. When I'm making a new model I build up the model first from basic meshes of the database, for example here with the -thrall.. I used the head of a sudanese unit..I modified it and and I made him a new UV ..bigger than the original one..that's why I don't have so many variatons , cause my UV-s are bigger and they take up much more place on the default 1024x1024 texture...
Although I still have three head variations and two bodies, and on the attachments texture I made more variations fot their armour..so they won't look like clone armies..
I guess that's why...it's maybe not noticable in-game that much..but I needed this for the cinematics...
