    Default Crashes after battles

Hi, I'm new to this mod, but I really enjoyed Rome: Total War, and mods usually improve the experience.

I have, however, a huge problem. I would estimate that the game crashes after about every second or third siegebattle I fight. It's really annoying to spend 30 minutes in large battles just to have the game crash on me.

I finish the battles as usual, and then when I am to choose between occupy/enslave/exterminate it crashes no matter what I do. Can't even save... Do anyone else have this problem? How do i fix?

Yeah, I have had it too. I think it is caused when an enemy sallies forth from a siege.

Go to 'technical help' up the top of the Roma Surrectum forum. There is a guide how to stop it there. If you can't find it then you can just ask.

Well, this a bug, but a rtw bug, not rs related.
The only one who could do something about it is ca.
It probably happens more in rs because of the sheer amount of stacks.

Yeah, it's a well known RTW bug, not specific to RS, called the siege reinforcement bug.

I think the answer is to make sure you don't kill all the army that comes out from the besieged town, but to allow some to return, then capture it next turn.

I solved this issue for my game by Quick-Saving after each siege battle.
When the end of siege box comes up (computer ask what you want to do with the city) do not answer yet, Quick Save and then choose what to do with the city. Works every time.
I think the Quick Save may clear some script which may contribute to the CTD.

I hope, this will help you as well.

Not really because quick save is like auto-save and corrupts games. As has also been pointed out it isn't siege battles that are the problem, but lifting of siege battles.
