    Default Imperial Cult?

I was wondering, if it is possible to implement something for an what if scenario by allowing us to build an Imperial Cult for Julian if after he has passed away. Right now, I'm at the stage where Julian successor has taken over the Empire after he died at a ripe old age of 73.

So I would be an interesting what if scenario to play as the Roman Empire after the success and death of Julian.

So you mean an 'after Julian' campaign? Sounds interesting, could you elaborate on how the map would be set up? Would Rome have persia and Armenia under Imperial control? If so, how would you stop a massive disintegration of the empire, seeing as there's supposed to be a new golden age up and running?

I think ray243 was talking about a shrine to Julianus that could be built after he has died. I think it can be done. It would have to be scripted so that after his death the temple to Julianus could be constructed.

The only problem with this idea is that Julian was sole Emperor of the Roman Empire for at least 3 years before he was killed. There are no records that shrines were erected to him after his death, which rather mitigates against this idea as it did not happen historically.

VV, it's meant to be a "what if" alternative.

Yup, in my campaign, Julian managed to create a new era of peace even after his death in 410 and managed to convert most parts of the Western provinces back to Paganism.

Which is why I think it would be quite satisfying to immerse myself in a what-if scenario.

Yes! what a good idea a Hagia Sophia to Neo-Platonism, would have to have % of 'pagan' cities thoughwould make an interesting scenario, if a unlikely one.

I can picture it now... epic building modeled on a pantheon but even grander... epic win.
