    Default BC wont install

When i try to install BC, I get this error: Cannot create the following file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Sega\Medieval II Total War\bc.$$A. Anyone know what the problem is? Thanks in advance.

If you have Vista, do not install the game in Program Files. Vista's User Account Control doesn't recognize BC as a trusted application.

So, you need to move M2TW outside Program Files.

It may be just the same problem.

Just don't install games in Program Files. It's not a good idea anyway.

Why isn't it a good idea?

I am also having this problem even though the mod installed perfectly the first time even though my M2TW was in 'Program Files (x86)' and now I am reinstalling it, I am having the same problem as Armenian

Because Program Files are monitored by Vista's security. If you install game as an user not administrator it may deny you access to some files within that directory. Thus problems with installation of Broken Crescent.

yes its the same with wind 7.. wudang clown.. could you state it more clearly in the installation thread? state that you need to install it in a separate place.. because when i read it the first time.. i understood to make a copy of the medieval folder so you can have it as a backup.. not that you had to install it there..

    i hope i explain myself
