    Default A/C = dead

I live near Washington, D.C., and our A/C is dead. Temperature outside is slightly below normal human body temperature. Won't be replaced till at least Monday.

Expect a moderator with a very short fuse for the next few days.

Thanks, that'll be nice to look at over the next few days.

Sorry, S1, but I've never really been much of a football (either) fan. Just couldn't get into it.

The girl I was speaking to didn't even know what the Dalai Lama was

After that I went for the old "Does this rag smell of chloroform to you?" line. In hindsight, probably not the greatest thing to say when her dad was within earshot.

Never a good sign. Then again, there were Tibetan Buddhist monks everywhere where I went to undergrad, so we probably had a different perspective on that.

That is pretty funny, but you're probably lucky to be still alive with her dad in earshot.

situations like this make you rethink whether calvin (of calvin & hobbes) was right about girls after all.

Yeah, it said alot about the quality of the girl. She was pretty ignorant about most things.

Fortunately her dad picked up on the fact that I was kidding. The girl didn't.

Ouch. She doesn't sound very quick at all.

btw, my computer is upstairs, so I haven't been doing much modding since Friday (when it broke). Sorry, everybody, especially my teammates. The upstairs isn't habitable for long periods at the moment, and I've been leaving the computer off as much as I can, since I'm worried about the heat. It's 10-20 Fahrenheit hotter than normal up here now, depending on the time of day. At the moment, it's getting closer to the higher end of that, so I think I'm going to sign off for the afternoon. Once we get A/C again, I'll get back to adding units and making cards/info pics for them (a lot of the units I'm adding are new hybrids of others' units, so I have to do the pics from scratch).

It's all good, this was a couple of years ago, at the beginning of 2007 (when I was at the tender age of 17). Ah to be young and willing to get with ridiculously stupid girls

Fortunately, the present one's got her wits about her - she wouldn't have lasted since late 2007 otherwise

Quinn, don't worry about it we'll all be glad to play the next version as and when it's been finished As long it's done before the Apocalypse

Yeah, I think a lot of men start looking more toward intelligent women as they grow up.
