Repomen (2010)

Just saw Repomen. You know totay's life, you can't afford your house the banks takes it back, can't pay of your car ? Bank takes it back. You payed for a organ ? You can't pay it of anymore ? Well then a repo man is coming to take it. And belief me you want to pay of those debts before they have the right to take the organ you bought.


Anyone seen it or is going to see it ?

I just saw it yesterday myself actually. It was mildly entertaining, but i'll have forgotten all about it in a week's time.

The opening scene is closer to Terry Gilliam as anything as I've seen not made by TG. Unfortunately the tone gets more serious thereafter...

I like the film a lot. If films like Pulp Fiction let us fly, this film let us down, i appreciating this work. The end makes me sad- sad as reality can be.

Did his friend manipulate the Defibrillationmachine or did he not? Its not clear at which moment the dream beginn, or?

the dream begins, when Jake has beaten Remy very hard, and he is bleeding. And he lies on the ground and Jake is standing, then both start laughing. After Remy stabs Jake in his leg, and Jake takes something up to make him unconscious, then the dream begins.

We should ask what happens with the girl ? She isn't in the dream of Remy for real, will Jake kill her ? When he says: "I will deal with her later." after they take Remy away.

Sure thing, Jake will take the stuff back... nearly undoubtly. Maybe she is able to run away once more, but i guess she isnt able.

She is a dead person for sure, she can't get away. All the organs are from the Union or she boughed on the blackmarket. Once Jake is done with her, she is nothing but dead.

I was actually very surprised to see at the end of the movie that he didn't kill all those repo men. It was pretty cool, he trained alot and took them all one by one. Cutting deep though them. And he got stabbed only once, well done. But at the end it was a dream and in a dream everything is possible, especially if the device that allows him to be in a dream coma wants him to experience it in the best way. And no other way then make him dream he kills them all so he can chill with his girlfriend on some far away island in the shinny sun. The ending isn't so bad after all, his friend Jake will pay of the device with brining in new organs to the Union. And Remy lives on his life in a dream until he dies in the real world, which will be a long time. I also don't think a sequel will come to this movie.
