You are correct, maybe it would be worth a shot!

I'll have to see more details, but so far, it looks really interesting! My fear is, however, that I would be pitted against real, professional concept artists... Against which I would stand little chance.

+rep, I shall compete in this challenge.

PS. First, however, I need to come up with something for the 'heat' competition...

It won't be the prizes I draw for. I'm drawing for the challenge.

Speaking of competitions, which of these should I use for the 'heat' theme?

The first one. I think the implication of heat is a more subtle, and cleaner, way of exhibiting the temperature in a good fashion.

Sorry to comment on the same thing twice, but I really love that burning piece of wood or pumice or such between his legs on the ground. It's real nice, and the figure has really good shading. If only I could do that...

I recently realised/realized () that I have become an addict of secondary lightning.

Oh, and practice is the key to success. If you start drawing now, I am quite certain that you will eventually reach the desired level of skill in a few years, depending on devotion, time, and of course if you attend courses.

    Alea jacta est.

I submitted my entry for the EVE Online 'Create A Starship Contest':

Hopefully, I can at least reach a semi-finalist position.

It's great! But is that the full size painting? And when you win, since you already have an Intuos 4, you can give it to me

"When you win" being a rather optimistic assumption (), I can safely say that I have not thought of this matter.

Oh, and yes, that is the full-size painting. I prefer to make small conceptual drawings, since larger projects require quite an investment in time.

You might see a pattern developing, but I won't release too much details yet.

Anyway, here's a clue (it's nothing big, but have a shot at guessing)...

PS. Here we go (originally, I wanted to submit this to the EVE online contest, but I had too little time to complete the schematics):
