Anyway, I changed my avatar again, but I can't seem to make up my mind. Should I fill the background with black, so that I can avoid that sharp edge I get by saving in .gif format, or should I leave it the way it is?

The reason I keep on improving and feel driven to do so is because I tend to look at work done by those far superior in skill, hence I feel a need to improve myself in order to 'compete', if you will. This is probably the reason why I am my own worst critic.

Yes, a tablet really is a wonderful tool. All your movements make sense on the screen, instead of the irritating and frequent twitches of a mouse. In fact, I would say that a tablet is much better than a mouse at precisely everything, apart from, perhaps, gaming.

Make the shadow slightly opaque and the atmosphere slightly thinner and going to the edge of thwere the shadow begins and it will look a world (geddit?) better. Also put a slight texture on the surface.

Shadow - Do you mean like making the edge there less faded?

Atmosphere thickness - I actually like it that way, but maybe it'll look better when thinner. We'll see.

Atmosphere going to where the shadow begins - Check.

Texture - I said it wasn't done yet!
