Scotland??

so i recently came across a mod that would allow me to play as Scotland but i cant capture London or the game would crash what is the reasoning for this? i even started a game as England and started a revolution and when i picked side with the rebels i was still England....fighting against the Scottish rebels.... why is it so hard to play as Scotland in Empire total war? would it be possible to replace great Britain's flag with the Scottish one? or maybe even replace the English faction all together? i just cant see me playing as Scotland and not wanting to capture London.... i have done a lot of simple flag mods in the past but never for this game so im not sure on how i would even go about it. or perhaps there is a mod out there that would allow me to conquer England without the game crashing?

never mind, i believe i have found what i was looking for....http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=292637 i would still like to know how to mod flags in this game though if anyone is willing to give me a few pointers....
