I apply in particular to the Minister of War MCM writer of the petition.

(Accurate and polite questions that should have deserved at least
an equally accurate and polite answer).

But after more than five months seems that there is still no reply from CA.
(I am not sure anyway if they contacted privately the senior members
or they would want but SEGA is imposing its "line").

So what I tried to propose when I signed is adding to the petition thread a voting pool
    with the question :
    "Did you buy ETW/NTW?"
    and four answers like:

1: Yes and I will buy Shogun 2 anyway
2: No and will I never buy them until modding tools are released
3: Yes but I will never buy any DLC, give us modding tools instead!!
4: Yes but I won't buy Shogun 2 if it won't be fully moddable

inviting all the forum members to participate and sending the result to CA's forum

If several hundreds of members would vote the result could be a significant "statistic" sample
of the "customers" opinion about the Total War series and the guys CA could have a serious
reason (even regarding SEGA) to take it in the right consideration.

    Thanks for the attention.

    A noble concept, but:

If Sega really thought that their limiting of CA's modding community was going to cause a decline in sales then they would have kept mod tools in the game.

They're obviously making the same/more profit ever since they came up to speed with the rest of the gaming world and put limitations on third party content and started releasing things like DLC.

Even if you hand it over with 4000+ signatures it would not make any margin of a difference in the eyes of Sega. I'm almost 100% certain that it pains CA to see the decimation of their community at the hands of the publishers, but both parties need to learn to respect the evolution of the industry and the measures being taken by every publisher to ensure the integrity of their long term profit plans.

No doubt this thread will soon turn to 'GIVE ME MY TOOLS OR I'LL BOYCOTT THE GAME' - Even if thousands of people on this forum alone were to boycott the game it wouldn't make a difference. These things are all but set in stone now, whether CA likes it or not.
