How do we get early praetorians ?
So im late into my republic game now, I just captured Libya and carthage's main capital, as well as a few other important cities south of it. Anyway, its just bothered me a bit that there has been no change in my military forces since the game began, but I was okay with this, as I was sure that at some point Id get to play with those early praetorians Tone boasts in his sig. I figure they are only available in Rome, but i was dissapointed to not see them there.
So i checked around the building list for Rome, but there was no "build castra praetorium" option or anything, so im a bit confused. Do we get early praetorians after the marian reforms, and if so, why ? I thought the later praetorians would appear during that time ?
I get that its probably incorrect to have praetorians during the age of the republic, they did, after all, only appear as a true emperor's guard force after the republic was subverted into the empire under Augustus (though im unsure if he formed the praetorians, I think he did, but i am unsure). Thus, it would probably be odd to see them alongside republican legions. Even still, as a later republic rome-exclusive unit, i think they would fit in well with the current roster. The lack of praetorians is beginning to change my feelings on my fledgling republic

No, early Praetorians appear after the Marian reforms, with the Praetorian Guard Training Grounds.....late Praetorians come after building the Castra Praetoria
