Default Rome Runs Choppy and Laggy

I know the answer to this question is probably going to be "Your graphics card is integrated, therefore sucks"
In smaller battles, I have no problem running everything smoothly. Unfortunately, my computer is ancient therefore I play it with low settings. Anyway, it runs fine until I have a big battle. Like 1000+ troops, It becomes laggy until I kill many of the enemies units. Then it is no longer laggy. Here is part of my DXDiag, im going to try installing new video drivers and maybe that will help.

For one, the Intel chipset is not made for it. Reasons:
Per CA, inetgrated graphics chips require 128mb of dedicated memory and you only have 96mb.
The graphics drivers being five years old, you need to se if there are newer ones on Intel's website.
For two, a gig of ram is nothing when it's being robbed by the graphics chip.
For three, run Windows update manually so you can get Service Pack 3 and all the subsequent updates and many this game needs.
For four Celeron is a cheap Pentium with the math power removed to be power saving for laptops.

I updated graphics drivers, that worked a little bit.
for two, I had 4 GB of RAM that is gone now. And my computer specialist wants to charge us $400 to replace the RAM
for three, Ive read bad things about SP3.
for four, what can I say? Its 5 years old, my parents simply wanted a computer to do their needs on. It wasnt even $1000 I dont think.
There have been various complaints regarding Service Pack 3's installation and performance reported by many users, ranging from conflicts with other software such as Symantec and other security applications, to internet connectivity and reboot loops.

$400 to replace ram, come on!

SP3 is fine, better with than without, but if you are running on an old system you might find windows needs a bit more power than usual, so you notice a slow down!

I would love to know who gave you the quote for the ram?

SP3 was a nightmare for those that refused to update everything else. Theonly ones that post are the complainers. I ran mine all the way to SP3 when I had XP and I had no problems.

If your parents have the sayso over the computer, go with the flow and save your money for your own.
