Why have clans ?

Hi i am new to the game and wondered what was the point in having clans, do they serve some purpose ?

To fight with and agianst good players who won't cheat, talk trash, pull the plug, be a noob or many of the other things common with random players.

a clan gives you a group of players who you can easily play with, and improve your own skills along the way.clans also usually cut the worst players out, or dont let them in

Any clan point is in is a great clan

imo clans are an excellent foundation to play and become good friends with a group of players who in most cases play similar style.

also it a great opportunity to learn different strategies and share army build ideas.

but the main thing is it suppose to be a fun game and playing and teaming with friends is the greatest part of the game - alot of times the friendship u have across different clans is what keeps me playing

Well, the point is, if i may point it out, a bit pointedly (hows that doing it for you point_man?)

You make new friends quick, both from within your clan and from other clans, which means fun teamgames are readily available, or even challenging 1v1's. You get to improve your skills against better members, and harness them training newer members, and also a lot of tournaments go on between clans, which just adds to first 2 points (now you should be done!) i made.

Your question is pretty much covered before I can even answer . Just go win matches and I'm sure you'll find a clan in no time

But Clans are handy when you want a match at anytime, Normally theres some TW fanatic ready to play anytime

That would be me also an any given time there normally is a mate playing total war on my list, so it's allways easy to pick up a game.

clans are great for all the above stated reasons. u make great friendships in them. i love playing with my clan members and enjoy the banter between the lads when we play. to me thats wot keeps me interested. i will like to state though that there a few clans out there that are just plain horrible. most clans know each other well and there is a healthy rivalry between them but also they help each other out alot aswell. so getting into the right clan is important. clans i recommemd would be LGA, BSA, LH, GODS, TLG, HUNTSMAN, SW, TWR, EOS, RTK, AGGONY. i apologies if i've missed any others but to me all these clans are half decent and have a good bunch of players in who are friendly and are willing to teach u stuff....

BrAve,AG, HG, Hunter, Arcani, VM and Glandeur are a couple of other clans ( and i bet i forgotted others as well) oh and USSR clan has some really excellent players and i think they are a public clan so no invite is required.

My advice Cold Turkey is too play a few games with as many different clans as you can - u will soon realize which clans are most active and on at the times you play. Then a matter of just playing more with a clan and improving your builds strategies and teamwork. IF you a half decent person and a resonable player u will find a clan soon enough. The clans mentioned above are great clans to aspire too if you find you enjoy the clan aspect of the game but recruitment to these clans can be more difficult as the expectations of game play and in game conduct is gererally alot higher. (and clans are not everyones cup of tea) some of my friends arnt really into clans at all and are excellent players however its always harder for them to play consitantly with the group of people so in multiplayer 2v2 3v3 4v4 where you need good team work its always harder to play to your potential.

BTW Huntsman is the best clan (IMO) with around 40 of the best and friendlest players u will come accross from all over the world, so they have players on a just about all times of the day as well.

just got back from my hols. so pls accept my apology for not replying sooner. enjoyed playing u guys the other day. was an epic game and very close at the end. ur clan is very good and as far as i can see have honor. a clan for the future i think there mate...

Sorry to bump thread, but I think it is safe to say that LGA really isn't active anymore (and sad to say too). Clause now has a life with a wife (which basically = 3 lifes), everyone else is on Men of War and I'm playing Warhammer 40k or writing.

So yeah. Got on for a few games today and either the quality of players has decreased, Spain is OP or you get better as you stop playing ^^

Good to see they finally fixed the morale bug, though (yay, my 6 morale units ACTUALLY HAVE 6 morale!!)

Clans may have a purpose COLD TURKEY, but I haven't quite figured out what it is yet. For the most part, members of clans are just as ass holish as everyone else who plays online games, and most (not all) clans do an extremely poor job of policing "rogue" clanmembers. I guess clans might make good "social clubs", but I honestly can't see any other use for them.

AG is looking good lately, perhaps a clan match against Huntsman? (Join us) or (Play us)
