like I promised (though with some delay), here is my Roman campaign:

There are ofcourse more legions, but my biggest problem is that I don't have any Italian city, therefore I can't recruit any legionaires... all I have are light roman troops and mercenaries at my disposal against full and armoured roman legions (including praetorians). Some of my (decimated) legions that I've recruited for a war against Ptolemies, are in Levant and if I'd move them back to Italy I'd surely loose the eastern territories... and even if I did that the odds of them beating fully trained legions are slim. This will be VERY HARD, so congrats on achieving your goal
However, there are some (I think) problems with the Dictator traits:

He still gets the Dictator of the Republic trait... is that supposed to happen?Especially when there's a character with a Dictator trait at the same time:
The thing is that the second character (Gaius Cornelius Scipio) was the faction leader before the rebellion occured. And during the end turn he died, so on the next turn I received the message above, the previous faction leader was dead and the heir (first picture), was the new leader (and Dictator of the Republic, not Dictator).
Overall the campaign is going great. The biggest suprise for me is how well Pergamon is doing (and to lesser extent Sparta). I've played some more turns through the rebellion (sadly I'll have to start again from the start of it) and Pergamon is conquering areas that I'd want to conquer if I played them (being a Byzantine Empire fan and all that ), so for me, they have really done a great job. Sparta has captured most of Greece (except Macedonia, which belongs to Pergamon and Rome) and have stayed my allies throughout the game, which is really something I needed while fighting Gauls, Cimbri, Gallaeci and Carthage. And they are helping me even now, while my armies are fighting Egypt and Rebels, they are in a war with Pergamon, which I was very afraid that it might attack me. So, the game is absolutely AMAZING
If you want the save (a turn before the rebellion), just tell me how to post it here and I'll do it. What should I do now? What do you want to know about the campaign?
Oh and this is via Alex.exe and it's before the forum problems (last Sunday), so I haven't yet updated the game, if you're wondering about the Rebel named characters in legions.
Also, have you updated your SVN recently? The rebel armies should now (since yesterday) have real named characters in charge of them when they spawn.
Could you show graphs of finances please?
We need to fix the "dictator of the republic" trait so that it can't happen once the HouseofCaesar trait is available - I can do that.
EDIT - Oh I see you've already answered my questions while I was writing.
The trigger for that trait probably needs a 'and not Trait houseofceasar' or something. I thought it had 'and not Trait Imperator', but that may not be enough if the guy isn't Emperor yet. Didn't think of that....

I hope this is OK with you... I have uploaded my pictures into Picasa, which is basically like Imageshack, but more user-friendly.
You can view the album here: http://picasaweb.google.si/100412474...eat=directlink
If you want me to post every pic in this thread I'll do so.
Thanks.
OK, some comments - I need to figure out how to guarantee that 7 "provinces" (clusters of regions) will rebel - only 4 did in your campaign. Italy will definitely rebel from now on.
The Imperator Caesar trait happens once your faction heir at the time of the rebellion becomes faction leader and you hold Rome (like what happened with Augustus).

yes you can post those pics in the RS2 previews thread. That second pic looks great!
Oh, and I've spotted why you're getting Caesar (which is the heir) and Imperator at the same time - small adjustment needed to the trait triggers. Basically the trigger to get HouseofCaesar trait could happen many times over, so the antitrait Imperator wouldn't completely cancel it.

If the spawned rebel legions are using the "named" legion variants and we happen to have the same named legion under our control, does that affect gameplay in anyway? I was under the impression that we shouldn't have multiple named legions of the same type existing together (ie. two Minerva legions, etc.) Will this mean I would I need to disband my named legion(s) if I discover the rebels recruited them?
Oh and btw, looking at those screenshots posted above, this new big rebellion is going to be really tough... yikes! Congrats on tweaking it to be so challenging. Since you solved the script CTD and pretty much got the big rebellion streamlined, what's the current schedule like for release guys? Less than a week maybe?

I wouldn't expect a player to disband his own legion\s just because the Rebels have the same one. We really can't make the 'rules' so stringent that the player is handcuffed.

No problem really. I was just curious because I wasn't sure the rebels spawned normal legions or named variants until I saw the screenshots. I wouldn't have disbanded my own legions of course. I'd just role play the rebel legions as the "fake" ones which needed to be eliminated in due time.
I've given them exactly 32X 40k but still they haven't gone into positive... which is strange as in the previous rebellion I've given them around 600k and they were OK...
