Rome Total Realism Crash To Desktop, HELP!

Hello, I am new to twcenter forums and I have recentley installed Rome total realism platinum 1.9 to my Gamers Choice: Rome total War.
Now setting up one of the installtion steps "download and patch your vanilla RTW to 1.3 & 1.5 I did not follow because I thought it did not apply to me because my version of RTW is already version 1.5.
When opening the game it works fine I can get into campaigns etc. perfectley however rightclicking specific building extensions halfway through battles etc. will result in a CTD .
I am not sure if reinstalling will fix this and any advice other than this will be great because I dont think my vanilla RTW installs anymore.
Any help whatsoever will be much appreciated,

I'd recommend uninstalling it and installing it again with all the patches to be safe.

If you fear that it wont install anymore then try to install it on a seperate computer if you can e.g. an old one or a freinds/family member.

If that fails then you could try to manually install it all.

Make sure you also have the latest CTD fix which i believe is on the main RTR forum page
