A rather intresting test concerning political alignment. It isn't entirly accurate, but it is reasonably so.

    Hi,

Interesting. I would have thought I was right wing but the test comes up with left wing, just below Stalin.

Surprising, as I am very anti communist.

in a way, so was Stalin... Well, that's what my Contemporary Hist. teacher would surely claim. And before you yell "liberal bias in the university!", a lot of his works seems to be rather popular among the catholic or the extreme-right in France (not that I think they really have understood his political theories, which I only begin to meself to become acquainted with... Basically, since Stalin combines leftist ecomics with authoritarian policy,, since he wants to conduct a Marxist experience without an international revolution as a goal, he would describe himas a "centrist by combination of the extremes"...)

my results won't come as a surprise to anybody, nor have they much changed in the like 5 years since I've first taken this test:
    Your political compass
    Economic Left/Right: -7.50
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.49
I still think the test is, both regarding the wording of the question, and the absence of some issues, biasing everyone's answers to the left: there's no question that can take into account my rejection of direct democracy, for exemple...

This is what I got, not sure if I answered everything 'correctly' though, some stuff was kind of hard to answer as there wasn't anything in between agree and disagree. I'm definetly a more 'right-wing' person than this chart indicates.

    Your political compass
    Economic Left/Right: -0.25
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.00

Stalin a communist pfft...Stalin was a dictator, more like a facsist. That's why they named a whole political system after him...Stalinism. Not communist, not quite facsist, the best way to describe it would be Stalins' version of communism.

Communism was about freeing the workers from oppression, not creating a totalitarian state. And no, a totalitarian state is not inevitable with communism.
