    Default Sub-Mod Suggestions

Hey guys, i used SS briefly last year but i've decided to return to it, however this time i think i wanna try some sub-mods out. so i went over to the sub-mod section and i was a little overwhelmed! hundreds of mods, many of which try to accomplish the same thing, and i don't know which ones work the best. so instead of going through dozens of trial and error attempts i have decided i'd appeal to the community for advice.

so, most important for me is 2 turns per year. when i last played SS the 1 turn a year thing started to get on my nerves. However i am aware that if not done right, a poor 2tpy mod could ruin the game. so which 2tpy mod for SS works the best without any dire drawbacks?

next i was wondering which sub-mod gives the best campaign and battle AI. I like a challenge but it ticks me off when the game cheats, i would much rather the game was just... better haha. so does the basic SS AI do the trick, or is there a particular sub-mod that does this best? also would a AI sub-mod work with 2tpy?

any mod that helps with graphical improvements would also be smashing.

so thanks to anyone who can suggest good sub-mods that address these areas, and i apologize for my grammer, it is very late at night (or should i say very early in the morning?) and my brain is drifting off haha.

    anyhow, GOOD NIGHT!

The one that springs to mind for me is Tsarsies 2TPY mod.

SavageAI for campaign AI. Not sure about battle AI.

    Yes they should be fine

If you're up for something more detailed and complex, you cant go past the RR/RC compilation. It makes tons of improvements and additions.

The one that I'm currently enjoying the most is the Historically Accurate Regions mod. The only downside to it is that it is constantly being refined, so you might have to keep restarting campaigns each time a new update appears.

Well, since you are a human being and thus more capable of out-smarting the computer than vice-versa, I'd say the computer needs all the help it can get (without being unreasonable, of course, like on VH difficulties).

Anyways, a Battle AI specificaly for SS would have to be Lusted's BAI.

Another great one, with the limited experience I've had with it (computer crashed recently ) is Condottiere SOG's Battle AI. Very agressive, smartly makes usage of reserves and flanking maneuvers, and unpredictable. You can read about it here:

And the latest version is here:

Also, if you are using 6.2 I believe you may have to follow some instructions to install new BAI's properly.

    Happy modding.
(Sorry about my spelling, my computer crash has left me without MS Office Word)
