i think they gonna lose alot of fans if they dont make up ofr it somewhere else, actor continuity is paramount these days for sequels etc

Yeah, I was a little confused when I heard people referring to this as a reboot...the last Spiderman movie came out in 2007! That's not a reboot...a reboot is something like Rob Zombie's Halloween or hell, even the new set of Batman movies.

I don't know anything about the guy they signed on to play Spiderman except that he was the last of the potential guys that anyone even considered would get it.

Who knows how this movie will turn out. Supposedly, this new Spiderman is going to be more like the comic book character - a wise-cracking, joke making kind of guy as opposed to Toby's more nerd-centered Spiderman.

BTW. I think it's funny that they're getting a guy who's going to be almost 30 to play a high school kid.

eh, hollywood has been doing that for ages.

well spider man 3 was terrible.

Too many enemies, Harry died after he already lost everything, and mary jane was held hostage at the end.. yet again!

And Spider man just was not spider man, Venom was poorly cast as well.

A reboot is very risky, alot of people liked Raimi's Spider-Man, but Webb is a good director, i think he can make a better Spider-Man movie then Raimi did.
