ROME H/H (BI) CAMPAIGN: REPORT 1

I have started a new campaign with the romans on HARD/HARD as i know you need the rebelion testing. As of yet i am along way from that stage but i thought i would give you a update of my campaign as this information may be useful.

    ECONOMY

So far my economy has been strong and i have been able to make lots of legions, but not too many. I have built many of the economy buildings as well which has strengthened my economy even further.

    EMPIRE

I have spread further up north into northern italy, also took hold of all of sicily, and made my move into africa, trying to stop the constant attacks from Carthage.

I did however lose emporiae and Dyrachium early on in the game as i couldnt defend them due to the Capua rebellion.

As for the rebellion i thought it was really good for the start game, i havent played the roman campaign since that addition and it certainly made the early game a lot more difficult. I thought against both hannibal and the Rebels for a good 5 years, losing lots of men as my troops were less experienced. I eventually killed hannibal when he wandered past ariminium on his own without a army.

Overall i have consolidated my centre and allowed the far out colonies slip away as it would of cost too much to keep them.

    ARMY COMPOSITION

    I generally have:

    2 General
    10 Republican Cohorts
    4 Triari
2 Cavalry Units (Depending on Area)
2 Missile Units (Depending on Area)

In carthage i couldnt get Triari so i brought in more missle and Cavalry units.

I have 6 legions in combat which look like this:

    Thanks, nice report.
Taking carthage = smart move (probably)

Make sure you click the adviser though to activate the script.

If the script wasn't activated it may be that their economy went through the roof.

looks like my previous post was not saved after the crash... is there a maximum limit regarding economy for factions?

Yes, there is as long as the script is running - around 200-240,000. Anything above 280,000 gets squashed.
