Game runs to fast

After along time I'm keen to play RTW again but i can't get it to run smooth,
it often speeds up during combat I have found that this can be a dual core issue and if you set to a single core it will fix it, I notice the drop in performance but the game still speeds up

anyone know a possible fix?

At the mo all I can think of is checking that the game speed controls bottom left of control panel are set to normal speed and not double/triple speed etc. Or maybe crank up your graphics settings to give the game and your comp 'more stuff to process' to slow it down.

Firstly force enable vsync from the CCC and see if that cures it. If that doesn't work then start the program, alt-tab to the desktop, bring up the task manager and right click on the RTW executable. Select "set affinity" and uncheck all but CPU0 and alt tab back to the game. I have not seen any problems with RTW on dual core myself though.

for the hell of it i just installed BI then Roma Surrectum mod and strangely that fixed it'for anyone havin the same prob
