I've seen a lot of info about how to change land textures, but what about the sea? I know it's possible because EB has different textures. How exactly is this done??

Has anyone got any insight into this??![]()
Thanks Aradan, I've noticed that I didn't re-pack the terrain\aerial_map\sea\ folder after unpacking.![]()
I was wondering also if there was a list of the files that need to be repacked to work?
not sure if there is definitive list of what needs repacking - some of it depends if you rename files or not and or if you hex-edit files (geog.db) to re-path....
some info though is available from post 68 in this thread

Yeah, that looks about right. I'm assuming that its generally everything that is unpacked except for the obvious UI files etc.
On the other hand, the UI files might as well be repacked. It just makes everything more tidy.
Doesn't it also compress them all into a smaller single size file?
no, its not bad...its interesting!
I know what you mean. After I repacked the sky texture and viewed it, I wanted to change it again and the constant unpack/repack can be a bit irritating.
But that was when I used xpak. When I found out about the Fileparser tool, it just made it a whole lot easier. By the way, is there a size limit on how many files you can repack in a single mod_0.pak file?
Doesn't repacking also make the game run slightly faster, because mine does?
no, its not bad...its interesting!
Faster by a bit. It is sort of the same as the difference in loading time when you custom create sound files.
