When I see my General flee from the Field with half my men with him, I get thrown into a rage. I mean really a good general fleeing. If only I could punish him. Hmmm.

    OFF WITH HIS HEAD

Yeah, I really with I could do that. It would be a very nice addition to the game. The ratings would be pushed to Mature though xD

To quote the Iron Duke (at least on TV [Sharpe's Waterloo]) "I don't mind men running, as long as they come back".

What infuriates me beyond all else is when my artillery decides to take out half my own line. One time i got so pissed I just limbered them up and charged them into the enemy. After that I mostly used howitzers.

Ney was executed for treason (to shake the other Marshals in line) rather than cowardice.

I can't think of any Corps level Commander in the Napoleonic Wars being a moral coward. It took guts to get to that point. As such, what you're looking at isn't so much execution for cowardice but rather relief for cause for sucking as a commander. I think it'd be more believable to have an option to fire a general/admiral.

I like the idea; executing some soldiers to make an example of them should boost the moral of the remaining troops
