HELP!

Okay, two things really.. first, ever since this automatic update from steam i have had problems with NTW.
It never used to play up.. but now, when i first start the game and get the load screen, it used to take just a few seconds for it to continue and start the begining movies. Now it takes 17minutes for it to start and move on to the the movies and even then, all the movies are laggy and the sound falls behind! I don't understand how this can happen? Anyone else had the same difficulties? Or can anyone help me with a fix?

The second isn't really anything i need help with, it's just something im wondering... Is it possible with a mod or something to have the actually land unit size high but the naval battles lower? Because i can run battles with the units on ultra but when i get to the naval battles it lags? Any Ideas?

you can go to

steam>steamapps>common>ntw>data>

in there delete the latest patch (the patch file with the highest number)

then do this:

press: windows key and r

type:%appdata%

delete the creative assembly folder

now verify the integrity of the game

if you have an ATI card, also check to make sure that it didn't add a second SOUND device in your device manager. If this happens, disable the new ATI one, keeping your regular sound device...the presence of a 2nd device can really tax the system and cause alot of slowdowns.
