    Default Economy in Peninsular

Hey guys, does anyone have any suggestions on running an efficient economy in the Peninsular Campaign? I've more or less hurled myself at the enemy on three main fronts, Wellington occupying the coast, a benevolent general a little further inland from Welly whose liberating towns left and right (Guierros!) and one total bastard general going along the south, and central of spain, tearing up the place and looting it to buggery. I think that's a fair balance, but I find myself broke every few turns. I haven't yet bothered too much with naval trade lanes, or economic buildings (mainly since Welly is the only one occupying towns, and in those territories I can't afford much improvement).

So what are some peoples strategies for economy?

Thanks guys, I guess I got to carried away in charging like a wildman across spain to worry about money. Still it's like in that episode of Sharpe when Wellington's army runs out of money ("Sharpes Rifles" I think), and it is forcing me to loot a lot more than I normally would, so that introduces new gameplay elements. I'm looting with one army, then letting the towns go rebel, then letting the Spanish conquer them in my wake. Doesn't exactly do wonders for spreadubg the anti-french sentiment.

Yes, naval trade routes easily dwarf settlement income it seems.

No thing is everything. Every thing is nothing.

The naval sea routes are the key. Also, if playing as Spanish, the British 'donations' can give quite a boost.
