    Default why...?

ok so i decided to turn 1 turn recruitment on, as i was getting tired of the gauls sending 5 stacks at me every turn, but after i turned it on my cities were all losing 2000+ denarii, when before they were all making 1000+ denarii, when i started a new campaign it was the same deal, i had to disband most of my garrisons to to make at least 4000 denarii a turn(which is only enough to build one thing), which of course made the free people attack me =/

so whats the deal with this? why does my economy turn to... uh (to put it nicely) when i turn on 1 turn recruitment?

1 turn is slower economy is bad and you dont really need to disband anything just build economy up first.
try to make 2 stacks 1 for north and 1 for south free people wont attack you if they see a stack at your border.
and concentrate to remove epirus first so fight the batteles yourself with minimum casualties while retraining and only build trade buildings.
stacks consist typically out of 4 Hastati 4 pricipe 4 triarii 1 genral 4 velites and 2 horsies. all you need really.

Unit costs and, most importantly, upkeep is different in 1 turn and 0 turn recruitment. Thus your armies are costing you more to maintain now and your cities are losing money.

In a pinch you can always "give" yourself some money. But I did the first half of the Roman campaign, (left the campaign to play another mod until RSII) on 1-turn, since 0-turn is unrealistic in my opinion because usually less battles decide a war in those days, and I prefer a war of manuevres. Anyway Anime Divine is right, build your ecomonomy and you will be fine, enough to furnish in about 15 or so turns at least 4 good legions.

thanks for your help, 1 turn recruitment is actually pretty fun, bit of a slower start, but other then that its cool, exept when i moved a stack to my border, i was getting attacked by the (seemingly infinite) free people armies in northern italy =/ i was kinda hoping most of those stacks would be gone in 1 turn recruitment =p
