Lol man you have just started a flame war,and apart from 1 the rest of the ideas are crazy, like the rules thing they have that in supcom 2 and people just exploit the next best thing so by excluding one thing they just make the next overpowered.
1.thats what they are trying to do (i hope)
2.its set in the napoleonic era, where artillery became a lot more widely used.if you dont want art, wait for shogun2.even that might have fireworks or something
3.the whole point of a host is that its their game.if you dont like their rules, host your own game.
4.this might get pretty messy, especially if people swap teams frequently, which means its like a long-term free-for-all

1. Fix skirmish formation preventing light infantry units from recovering fatigue.
2. Introduce new multiplayer victory conditions on Land/sea/siege/historical battles and per faction in campaign (both on single/multiplayer).
3. Host Online Clan Campaign tournaments of 8 players (4 pewr team).
4. Fix artillery not targeting the center of enemy units.
5. Fix grenades, make them effective against buildings fortifications.
6. Make many heavy cavalry units fire while mounted and in combat.
7. Fix Units reloading while some of their models are not in combat OR while their unit is moving.
8. Fix projectiles traveling beyond range.

I played grassy flats the other day, and my opponents horse art just shot my cav to pieces, I mightstart taking them.
i would only use horse artillery when im being extremely aggressive.otherwise i dont mind if my howtizers lag behind my main army
Regular art will destroy howies on grassy flats before the can even be used.
regular art does a lot more damage post patch.i routed a 60-strong horse guards unit after maybe 4 rounds?before it would take like 8 or something.from range.
Horse arty is now a lot stronger, as Bush demonstrated to me the other day. Routed 2 lancer units of mine on grassy flat. I returned the favor by routing his life guards.
Horse arty even more than Foot arty now I believe?
I don't think horse artillery should be so accurate against cavalry, after all they are a moving target.
The best thing about horse arty is you can run them up half way across the map with your army, giving the enemy's cav and gen no where to run, they probably need a price adjustment as there alot better than the cant hit the side of a barn 12lbr's.And Easy rider i was able to hit your cav while they were moving because i manually lead the shot in front of the cav.
Ah so you predict the position of where the cav would be? That is quite hard considering I was running them all over the place. I simply targeted your horse guards with my horse artillery and the crew seemed to predict your cavalry positions for me. Either way horse artillery seems somewhat op right now.
Though it could act as a counterbalance to howitzers. It would be nice to see people using horse artillery and foot artillery rather than the conventional howitzers.
they should sort out the stamina and fatigue issues within the game..
The apparent 'fix' to unit stamina is killing multiplayer. Units get very tired after running to the center of the map. Desert maps have become altogether unplayable with any
faction apart from the Ottomans. I couldn't even make my way across pyramids at a walk without my Prussians being fully exhausted.
Exhaustion slows the game down tremendously as well as reduces unit morale enormously. I can't have anymore decent battles unless they are conducted at a snail pace.
i appreciate that short battles means more battles you can play in a given time, but if you think about it, the game isnt meant to play like an fps-unless you press the insert key.its a lot about tactics.and to be honest, carrying the equipment that soldiers used to, even i would get tired walking about a kilometre across an area in the desert, under the sun, in a few minutes.
Sometimes, it is better to sacrifice realism for the sake of game play and playability.
I find myself playing maps like lodi less often, this is because your oppenent allways camps and it takes forver to cross the whole map. Then my tired men have to cross the river under fire. Campers are starting to win the day, maybe I should go back to howitzers.
do the buildings not protect you enough?i usually take a 'bait' unit, that the opponent would train his fire on, so i can manouevre more safely
I normaly do, but I find that my men are so exausted that they rout easily even if the enemy isn't using art.
Spread out and advance at walking pace. It is true that it will take some time before you get there BUT you will suffer minimal casualties while maintaining a resonable amount of fatigue.
