    Actually pretty cheap considering what people pay for crappy paintings and such that at best have historical relevance. X-ray pics of Marilyn Monroe recently sold for $45,000 for example.

    I'd be interested to know what the diary said about...
    Ibbetson's diary, which sold for $US6600 ($7792), described conversations with Napoleon, who still harboured ambitions of invading Britain despite his defeat at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815

    Did he intend to incite the garrison of St Helena to mutiny and set off on another 100 days ? Delusions of grandeur or what ?

    I'd love to read about what Napoleon said & did, especially AFTER Waterloo.
