Default Help Getting A Custom Skin To Show

Hi guys, I figured this was the best place to ask about this.

Brigadier Graham has very kindly allowed me to use one of his custom Line Infantry textures (the 22nd Foot) in my mod, where I'd like to use it to replace the vanilla euro_marines skin from the naval crew tables. However, I cannot for the life of me seem to get it to show on the Marines, only on British Line Infantry. Would any of you know what I would have to edit to make his patch file overwrite the Marines rather than the Line Infantry?

did you edit the appropriate files in the DB editor?

Which files would they be? I'm afraid this is my first time working with new skins. I looked at his mod pack in DBEditor, but I couldn't find any modded files, or at least I didn't notice them.

You need a separate line for each faction you want to use the texture in the naval_crew_tables. I don't think you can just replace them all with one line. Each faction has a separate line assigning a certain model/texture to them. To get your textures into the game, you need to have a Unitmodels/Textures directory in your mod and type the pathway unitmodels/textures/nameoftexture (whatever it is) in the warscape_animated tables, and then you have to assign the texture to a particular model e.g. euro line infantry in the warscape_animated_lod_table (with an lod1,2,3 and 4).

So I need to create a unit_stats_naval_crew table, add in entries for all the factions that have access to the Marines? How do I then go about creating that directory? I'm afraid you're really going to have to break this down for me, as I have absolutely no experience with skinning and textures.
