Default DLV revitalizes my love for TW

The changes and improvements DLV makes to Kingdoms is outstanding, I love all the different RPG elements they have put together to make this game a storytellers dream. DLV has helped revive my interest in Medieval Total War and now all TW games.

My question is this: Are there any mods for RTW, other mods for MTW or ETW, that capture that same RPG feel that DLV does? The progression of Generals, the mesh of realism and roleplay, etc.

DLV will always be my favorite mod but now I'm curious as to what is out there for RTW, or other MTW mods too. Anything that captures the same feel as DLV?

If you like DLV you may like Europa Barbarorum for Rome.I was personally blown away by it when I first played. But now they are in the process of making a Europa Barbarorum 2. I cannot wait!!

Also the are making Italica Peninsula for the Medieval 2 Engine. Its set in the time of when Italy was separate tribes or countries. I dont know if that's the proper term but that mod should be out in a couple of months or less I believe. This to looks amazing.

Thanks SirWarts, it's been a long time since I've played Europa Barbarorum so it will be fun to see the game in it's final form. Italica Peninsula sounds interesting as well, I like the added focus to the peninsula so it should provide for a more personal experience.

    Any other suggestions out there?

Another way to phrase the question is:

Are there any other mods out there that do such a good job with Traits and Ancillaries as DLV does?

There are no competitors, no peers. DLV is unique. Maybe Domain of the Sword will take up the challange, their mod however has jet to be released, but at the moment, DLV is the Heart of Iron, the King with a crown above all else.

    Spirited words from,

    ~Wille
Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.
