Call me immature, call me foolish, say that I have bad tastes in movies but does anyone else love the Rush Hour films as much as I do?

Seriously, I don't know what it is but there's something so entertaining about them, I could watch them 100 times over and am probably pretty close to it by now. I love the mix of Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan.

The first two are witty, hilarious buddy-cop romps. The third one...somewhat less good, but still entertaining and funny.

Chris Tucker is so funny, love every movie he was in.(Except House Party 4 I think, only a small part though)

Jackie Chan is the man, did alot of his own stunts for a long time.

Rush Hour 1 and 2 were excellent. 3 was horrible.

Yeah I love the Rush Hour movies. Three wasn't as good as the first two, which were fantastic, but after re-watching it a few months ago I didn't think it was as bad as I thought the first time I saw it.

^^^That's probably one of my most favorite scenes in a movie, I love Carter's obsession with Michael Jackson.

There are so many memorable parts and lines in 1 and 2 which is why I think many people didn't like the 3rd movie as much (although it was still pretty decent and funny).

"C'mon Lee! When's the last time you played hide the rainbow roll" is the only line I can think of off the top of my head from 3.

"Man, ain't nobody understand the words comin' out of your mouth!"

Plus Rush Hour 2 had my favorite Chinese girl on planet Earth.

Pretty sure that's from the 2nd one, when they're getting changed and Carter realises he left his passport at the massage parlour.

But yeah I love 'em, I must've watched the 2nd one a zillion times when I was younger. I found the 3rd pretty disappointing since I was looking forward to it for quite a while.

Yeah I realized that when, out of sheer boredom, I sat down this weekend and watched all three back to back. I got confused b/c there's a similar line at the opening of 3 when Carter is trying to get Lee to go out with him and two girls - something along the lines of "I got two ladies here who want to play hide the little Chinese policeman".

The third movie wasn't bad it just didn't live up to the first two. I don't know how, it pretty much followed the same kind of formula: tons of jokes and action scenes. Who knows why it doesn't feel the same...

As for Shanghai Noon/Knights. I love those movies too, they're not as watchable as the Rush Hour films (I could seriously watch a Rush Hour once a week for the rest of my life) but they're still great. I think they might not be as good because those films sort of start and stop in terms of action and jokes. Plus even though I love Owen Wilson, Chris Tucker's character brings a great balance to Jackie Chan's.

Chris Tucker: loud, in your face, PG-13 raunchy, black guy with an obsession for Michael Jackson who doesn't follow the rules

Jackie Chan: quiet, reserved, professional detective who kicks a lot of ass

Love this scene, love the song (best song from any of the Rush Hour soundtracks, in my opinion):

The expression Tucker watches Chan from 1:03, utter inability to comprehend what he's seeing and hearing.

I'm a big fan of Jackie Chan he's stunts are simply awesome and a pleasure to watch, it's just shame that he spent he's best years working on low budget stuff and didn't break into Hollywood until he was nearing the end of his career.
