Total Realism

I'd been playing EB for about 4 months now, having dumped maybe 30 hours of my short life into it, and enjoyed it very much. A whole lot, actually.

Just uninstalled and installed Rome: Total Realism in its place. Yeah, gotta say, EB immediately came off as a better product, with the huge focus on history, good custom music, more extensive unit rosters and the like. Probably won't be monkeying with this long before going back to EB - I just wish there were other mods in different eras with the same kind of focus EB has. And RTR world map looks like crap by comparison.

I went in a different direction, discovering RTR before trying out EB much later after I'd uninstalled everything and was willing to go to the effort to look at something new. And I gotta say RTR was a great mod, far better than vanilla, and was well worth my time. So if any RTR guys hang around this forum, respect.

That said, EB is just on another level.

Was that really neccesary? I must say if i did the map, and you came here and said it looked like crap, i would be offended.

also bare in mind, that RTR 6 is much older than EB. The new RTR's, the FOE campaign are created by an entirely new team, and after a year or so of stagnation. You can play whichever mod you like, but saying such things is offensive

Exactly, they are different mods, FOE is a really good mod, and so it's EB, so if you don't like one of them, keep it for yourself....
The modders put much of their time to do them...

RTR is cool. I actually just found out about EB.

I must say that EB is in general far superior. But I enjoyed the RTR graphics more.

The 2 teams should work together in the future.
