It's very simple to do. Just open you start menu and click the tap called "Computer". A window should pop up with a tab that says OS ( C: ) click on this. You should see a folder called "users". Open this folder and you should see your user name. Click on this and you should see a folder called appdata. Within this folder you should see a folder called "Medieval II Total War" delete this. That's probably the most thorough and simple way I can explain it. So I hope it helps. (I have vista but I believe it is the exact same process on 7, there may be a few small differences but nothing you shouldn't be able to figure out on your own.)

If appdata doesn't exsist, or if it simply doesn't work after you do it. I recommend trying to reinstall Third Age with your UAC turned off. If you aren't sure how to turn off your UAC just drop me a PM.

    Clearly has his priorities straight.

No problem. Just think about it next time. And a warm welcome to the forum btw.

So, did this thread help or do you still have the problem?

Nice, but please tell us how you solved it, because there is a certain
possibility that someday someone will have the same problem. And in
this case "never mind, i got it working now" won't help anyone.

    Please, let us know.

yes you can. most mods are mod foldered that means they have on own folder in
the mod directory of your game. there are only a few mods that overwrite the
vanilla game files but TATW and SS are modfoldered and you can install them both.

    BTW Stainless Steel is amazing.

I've tried redownloading Tatw twice now with no success in getting sound. I read the forum here and saw a solution a lot people were recommending that required going in to the appdata and deleting the medieval total war file itself. I finally got access but I don't see the file for medieval 2 in there. Did I save it wrong or something while downloading? Is there a different way to navigate to the folder so that I may delete it?

I go to computer, C:, users, myname, appdata then roaming. I see my empire folder in there but not medieval. Is there just an alternative to fixing the sound for tatw
