Default How to modify existing rows in tables

    Hey,

every tutorial i find is for creating something new and this seems to work fine, but i want to change the vanlilla unit.

I used to play empire when it was new and then the packfilemanager allowed me to just modify the raw values in the tables, this however now has been disabled probably for a good reason.

But lets say i want to override the upkeep cost of vanilla units, or modify the research cost of a specific science in the game, how do i do this now?

I tried creating a new X table in the dbeditor but this doesn't really do anything helpfull.

One way is that you've followed. Make a new table in DbEditor and copy/paste (from Edit menu) the rows with your units. make the changes and save it. The other way is to work with PFM which seems you like better. Use the attached version.
