No I am not worrieng about it nor am I making a big deal of it. I am just interesting and I am trying to be critical. Is that forbidden? I can be polite, respectfull and critical at the same time.

You are right. It wasn't much bigger than today's Bosnia. But it if we look at the cities and the population (which phoenix posted) than we would be able to conclude that Bosnia was, indeed only a province and not even a real state.

The nubers which phoenix Ilusion posted can may be comprehend with Bosnia during the 11. century while it was still a small state concentrating on Bosnia, Soli and parts of Podrinje. But when we are talking about the 14. century then it is not possible to neglect the fact that central Bosnia (or the land of the king) was very heavy populated. Cities like Visoko, Zenica, Vranduk, Bobovac, Vrh Bosna, Sutjeska etc. They were all lying very close to each other.

Now it indeed looks like Bosnia had some fortresses like Bobovac and that's it. But it wasn't like that.

Got a question for duce or phoenix.
Will there be anything marking Trebinje? It did control the most important road between Ragusa and Constantinople which probably made it a fairly wealthy town.

We need 1 city in Bosnia, true.

Matko will decide which one should be in.

Remove castle of Ključ and put Jajce instead as a city. it existed at the time, but it was still not very developed (which we will simulate by weak city walls) put something like 2000/2500 population.
since it is only city in Bosnia i guess player will invest in infrastructure and that will stimulate population growth.

Have you already deciede that you will have cultures instead of religions, or is that just an option you are considering? Duce said that he wants to test it first so i ask if you have made your decision?

All 3 were patriarchates. And we already marked Constantinople and Tarnovo on the map.

    I found a usefull website:

    http://www.bosnae.ba/Vares.html

On this website they say that the village of "Duboštica" was considered as one of the most important mining villages of Bosnia. Ant Tvrtko I considered this village as very important. It is situated near Vares.

    good.
can you recommend which mines (which type of ore) can go to which of Bosnian provinces?
    only the important ones.

i ma sure that salt goes to Usora province, because of Tuzla. and silver to province in which Bobovac is located (Kreševo mine).
    anything to add ?

i think adding mines is very important for Bosnia - a nice amount of cash can make up for some other disadvantages.

I will search it up for you. I've got some good leterature but it will be later this day (I have to watch "my second country" -The Netherlands playing against Brazil ). By the way; please do not forget that I also posted a list of names of Bosnian generals, officials, castelans etc. (so true names of persons of which we know what their function was). You can find this in one of the older posts at the "kindom of bosnia" thread.

Here I found some nice pics of Vares. I've never been there but this church is a very old church (not the big church but this small one). This is how the mining area looked like:

    @ matko

You probably don't know, but some Croatian provinces should also have a silver mine. There was a silver mine in the late middle ages near Gvozdansko, and also a silver mine on Medvednica (above Zagreb), which also produced lead and zinc. 30 miners could produce daily up to 5 kg of silver in Medvednica mine alone. BOth mines were used by the Zrinski family and they contributed much to their power.

Hmm, that poses a good question - do you also need infos about the location of resources? Like mines etc? I think I had posted before an old quick list of some of the Bulgarian resources, but specifically the mines could be easier to find some more specific info.

Bigger ore deposits (not only about Bulgaria, but including it):
Gold: Chrysopolis (at the mouth of the Struma, though the other Chrysopolises would be logical as well, considering the meaning of the name) and generally the area of Serres and Thessaloniki; Perperek and generally the Rhodope mountains (the biggest and most important gold mine for the Empire), Western Balkan mountains (Sofia/Sredets - gold, silver).
Other metals: Novo Brdo (very important silver deposits in Kosovo, also iron, lead and gold; Saxons), Chiprovets (very big mining center, Saxons, rich deposits of copper, lead, iron, silver and gold, but especially copper and silver), Kratovo and generally the Osogovo and Belasitza mountains (important mining center, gold, silver, copper, iron; Saxons), Strandzha mountain (large copper deposits), Boruy (copper, iron), Vratitsa (copper), Samokov (iron; Saxons).
Will add more if I find some...
