Will they ever release the Scots Grey via DLC?

Now that C.A will be working on Shogun II, I was wondering if they'll ever release more units via DLC in the future like the Scots grey...

As likely as it sounds, they probably won't give them to us, seeing as they have already released them to people who pre-purchased Nap, through steam. Which is stupid because, if they made a DLC which included the Scots Grey, it would invalidate the 'reward', given to the people who made the pre-purchases. But, as always, we will have to live with CA's minor stupidities like this..... -_-

It's sad that they left out a major unit, who played a major role, in one of Napoleon's major battles...

I think it's a drag that for those of us who have the Royal Scots Greys, they still aren't used in the Waterloo battle by the UK AI, nor are they in your ranks when you play it as the UK either.

They should do as well as HMS Elephant etc and it is a very long time until shogun II too comes out and they haven't confirmed yet that they aren't supporting NTW so they're bound to come and the extra money they'd make comes to mind too.

They will most surely be released, together with the other pre-order units, just like they did with the ETw units. Just wait a few weeks from now.

I'm pretty sure that ALL of the pre-order units will be released in a singular DLC. The reason we are waiting for it now is due to the fact that it would devaluate the who pre-order incentive if The CA decided to release the units months after it's release.

The CA is making a point. By making us wait for the pre-order units it makes us, the consumer, think 'I should have pre-ordered the game from X, and with it, got an additional unit'. The reason for this is The CA, like all companies, prefers the consumer to pre-order goods as it gives them a determined amount of units to ship off, therefore their chances of losing money on unsold goods is minimal!

Everything in life is done for a reason, just give it about 3 or 4 months and we should have the option to buy them. Hey, we might get lucky and they might be released before then.. One can only dream!

They released all the units for ETW, they will release all of them for NTW. I don't remember exactly how long it was until they released them for NTW, but I'm guessing the time period would be similar.

Does NTW vanilla (with DLC) have a good variety of troops for all factions or is it lacking?

On a side note:

Based on the pictures I've seen concerning the British Dragoons, the horse tales on their respective helms were quite long compared to what C.A uses for their in-game models. Did these British dragoons really use shorter horse tails as depicted in the game?

Every Major Factions have practically good variety of troops, except Austria; lacks of Elite Line.

(Not counting Rifles with 125 range tho)

Can't wait to play Grand Battery of the Convention
