    Default Celts in Anatolia?

I know about the Galatians but one of the Anatolian settlements was randomly owned by one of the Celt factions from Gaul. Don't remember which as my campaign crashed. Is that suppose to be?

Yes, Ankyra rebels to the Arverni. Basically, either Pontus or AS took the settlement, and they didn't keep the public order up high enough.

Exact. You will find that at the gamestart it is only a normal rebell territory. But The city has celtic culture, so when they rebell they join the nearest celtic faction. Arverni (mostly) or Aedui.
The same reason why I am constant at war with the Ptolemaioi in my current Saba-campaign. Because Bostra and Palmyra join me when rebelling against the Egyptian invaders ...

Yeah, I had the same problem as the Sabayn or whoever - my buddy and I just called them the "Goat People" and make the sign of the horns when mentioning them. "We follow the goat!"

Anytime Egypt can't keep control of a region its instant impetus for a war.

If your campaign keeps crashing because of a rebellion, see the section in the Frequently encountered issues regarding this issue.

Yea I know about the Galatians, I just didn't know why the rebel settlement went to one of those Celtic factions. That's all.

    Thanks for the link Sarmat.

Because the immigrants were Gauls from Thrace.

They where 100% Gaul, it's cool that they wanna go back to a Gaulish faction.

A lot of regions that begin as 'rebel' regions will revolt back to an owner other than eleutheroi. The 'builder' of the central government building (Town Hall, Governor's Mansion, etc.) defines who the settlement revolts to. If it's eleutheroi or the person they're revolting from, the province goes 'rebel.' If it's another faction, it goes to that faction. The EB team gave several cities that begin the game as 'rebel' a government building from another faction. Some of the most common rebellions to another faction are: Massilia, Emporion, Chersonesos, Pantikaipon, Sinope, Trapezious, Halicarnassus to the Koinon Hellenon. Ankyra to the Arverni. Gawjam-Bastarnae to the Sweboz. Bostra and Palmyra to the Saby'n.

Edit: I always kind of wished Sidon would revolt to Carthage, heh.

    That would be really far-fetched...

It's not as far as the imagination can take you. It's only a beginning.

I know. I'm speaking from a game perspective though.

The Sidon thing isn't even a historical thing. What would Carthage do with it? The province would probably be surrounded by Ptolemoi or AS, it'd get conquered in less than 10 turns.

Sidon and the area around it was the homeland of the Phoenician people, as Carthage was a Phoenician colony there would be plenty of good reasons why they would want to hold it.

Same with Tyre. Is Tyre in EB? I forget, since I haven't played EB single player in what feels like forever.
