Don't Know if Anyone Else feels like this but?

I love the drop in battles this game offers I think the AI is pretty good I think the Graphics are a step up

But I am going back to Medevil 2 because this game sucks compared to my being able to mod a game and tbh I just hate the guns I dont think this game is near as good also I dislike the lack of a good seige, not having the ability to set up watch towers and forts the upgrades to cites and such are plain and simply backward these guys also just throw patches in assuming I want the damm patch because a bunch of little kids rant over the way a game ships the user should pick wether or not they want to run a damm patch if they arent playing online.

I just overall Don't think that this game is as good they need to get back to basics for gods sake the Rome game aloowed me to run around in my citeies as a single player to get the feel for it before a battle there is so much they have gotten away from and when they buffed the graphics they taxed you harder for running larger armies which is totally unrealistic.

I just dont think this game is nearly as good as Medevil and I love the abilities the modding community has there
Send a message to Ca Reinstall medevil tell CA to get bent because they are going to continue selling additional online content modding has gone down I have not been as up on things with this but it has to be harder with this release where they cant do as much or we would see more.

And over all above all else the game just isnt as good as the old stuff!!

As for modding, everything except new map can be modded. Factions can be added by replacing existing ones. Buildings, units, technologies... Can all be changed.

And check out Europe in Conflict mod, it has improved sieges dramatically.

I'm with you regarding the lack of interesting/realistic looking cities but I've been waiting ever since I first played RTW in 2005 for a napoleonic version of the game that had a campaign.

Don't be too hard on the poor blokes at CA. They are going "back to basics" with shogun 2, I'd say.

NTW has better graphics, better AI, better campaigning. Sure modding is harder, but still I see CA really improving the game. Hope Shogun II will be even better

If you hate guns a game called Napoleon: Total War probably isn't going to be one of you top Total Wars

I do find this time in history quite interesting and I enjoy the game but having said that I don't think going to the gun or modern age is something CA should do with Total War it belongs in the age of swords and I think Napoleon is about as recent as they should take it.

Nap has worse ai , bai ,smaller campaign map (that makes it feel a tep down from ETW), terrible (vanilla) region resource, and a more restrictive battle map system. (maps they use from campaign battles)

Nap has better graphics, ability to create custom uniforms, and some campaign options like liberate etc.

So in balance for me ETW has better gameplay and NTW has better aesthetics or bling.

Also i have to agree with the OP that battles in RTW Med2 and earlier TW's are a lot more challenging, somewhere in the process of upping the graphics they lost some of the gameplay imho.

NTW has way better AI and much better gameplay then previous total war games. The campaign map is much more detailed and in-depth instead of being a gigantic jumbled mess. I'm glad that the campaign map is smaller, gameplay improves as a result. I hope that Shogun 2 keeps all the great new features in NTW.

Also, complaining about the lack of good siege is very silly. Napoleonic warfare is by definition all about avoiding siege battles.

I'm only mad because, they cant let us to change campaign map and make game more historical. Thats why I'm mad, but other things I like. You can make this game more better, if you are not lazy.
