I'm assuming a lot of people followed the show here.
What did you guys think about the series finale, Meyers' performance, the overall production, etc?

Never seen it. Everything I know about I know from word-of-mouth and tvtropes.
From what I hear, despite some glaring historical inaccuracies, it's a good show with a lot of sex.
Yeah, it's not very accurate... and from different reasons, certain events (and even personalities) are modified. I personally enjoyed the show a lot and now that it has ended, I'm beginning to miss it a lot. I loved the way the characters developed (especially Henry and Charles the Duke of Suffolk) - from boys to wise old men. And then there's this episode in season 4 in which Charles gets nostalgic in court because he misses some of the old people who aren't there with them anymore (Cromwell, St. Thomas, Wolsey, the Boleyns, etc, etc)....
I think the series finale was very well made, especially the end. As his life flashes before him, he says, "tell Mr. Holbein it's well done". Was that his reaction to his life? That's what I'd like to think that despite believing in the end that all he sees are treachery and deceit in court and in the European monarchs, he thinks it was all "well done" in the end.

It's pretty good, though I haven't seen season 4 yet.
It's good fun. Has as much sex and nudity in it as HBO's Rome, but not as bloody. About as historically accurate as Rome, though that doesn't bother me much since I have history books for that.
It's good fun, at its peak when it comes to the political and religious infighting that occur in the story (particularly in season 3).
Sam Neill is epic as Cardinal Wolsey, especially in the final episode of season 1.
If you ever find violence doesn't solves anything, you haven't used enough.
Yes, he was awesome.Sam Neill is epic as Cardinal Wolsey, especially in the final episode of season 1.

I stopped watching the last season since I forgot about it, but it wasn't as good as the first two seasons IMO, though perhaps that's because the time period covered interests me less.
I liked how almost every single female character was hot though.
Made in Ireland, My friend was in a few episodes. I like thet show, at first I was iffy about Meyers playing Henry but now I think he was perfect for the role.
What I really disliked about the show was how it seemed to pass itself off as more intelligent than it really was. I found the English that characters would speak at time to be the sort of stereotypical language of the court that American viewers tend to associate with royalty with a poor combination of an attempt at Shakespearean English. Not to mention that, even though the characters seemed to use a lot of phrases in other languages, especially French and Latin at times, they always seemed to repeat it in English so that the viewer could understand what the person just said.
I've seen a bit and I really liked it. I'll definately watch it more.
Over all I thought it was a well done series that had a really good ending.
Although it should not be viewed for its historical accuracy, it told a really good story set within a very compelling age and actually got people I know interested in the real life stories of these characters. To me that says a lot.
The acting i thought was great although the first season I wasn't to impressed, the actors definitely grew into their characters. And you really did feel sad for Mary when she learned that the Spanish Ambassador passed away. Over all, I highly recommend this show.

I saw the first season but stopped watching due to not being able to catch it when it was on. I did get to see the last episode a few nights ago and it makes me feel sad that I didn't watch the show in it's entirety.
BTW, did anyone catch the ad afterward for the Borgias? Man, won't that be fun?(And you thought this series had too much sex!)

They are making a series on camelot after tudors. I am driving up and see if i can get a role in the series, a small role. It would be fun.
Ah lame, fiction.
I enjoyed it even though there were many historical misinterpretations. I watch around 85% of all the episodes and thought they wrapped it up well. Meyers at times over acted but i enjoy his acting even more then his public alcoholic feascos. Meyers would make a straight man gay imo.
Leave it to the modder to perfect the works of the paid developers for no profit at all.
The historical inaccuracies do not matter in this show, its good. People here put too much in something in terms of accuracy that doesn't make a bad movie/show. This is probably one of the best period TV shows in a long time.
