Good news again for the players, Swedish names will also be included in the project in order to make it compatible with Caesar Clivus' Battle for the Baltic mod (and who knows, maybe once SS will use them too).
The work on their name list is already in progress by preachercheeze.
Note: a new Swedish table has been added to the first post.
georgian faction is already added in the SS or not ? or this is future project ?

Excellent job, though some surnames/bynames and a couple of female names are still needed.
A rep is yours anyway, just keep up the good work!![]()
I've uploaded the first preview of the names in the first post, so you can now get an insight into how the character names will look in SSNOP.
Some of the name lists are still being worked on, hence the 'teaser table' is not full yet (I'll keep updating it). I tried to showcase the faction-specific letters where possible, hopefully you'll like them.
Every contributor did a great work, with my personal favourite being the Russian name list: CarbEast managed to find such an impressive and elegant balance between the Latin and Cyrillic letters that the result is a pure joy to watch (in my opinion, of course).
Feel free to express your thoughts on it or on any name list!

Babur has completed the Timurid name list with the use of the Chagatai Turkish language where possible.
Unfortunately, there aren't many Chagatai surnames and female names in historical sources, thus the original Timurid names will be used in their place - but nevertheless, Babur did a great work and deserves credit for his contribution.
The Chagatai table has been removed from the first post.
Mongols, Kipchak has no surname?
If so, I'll delete Seljuk's surname. It's close to the truth.

surname "Köprülü" add. I forgot it.
and some byname add.
Thanks nuel, outstanding work, your rep and credit is well-deserved.
I'll add your names to the preview soon, so the players can get a taste of the new Turkish names.
Actually, the Cumans, Mongols and Timurids have indeed no surnames - there was only a handful available of them, so I thought it's better if they're completely omitted from the lists.
there are still some changes that needs to be done... during the early era the names for Norway, Denmark and Sweden where similar, but during the later eras, the names started to get more and more diversified... in Denmark, Christian was very popular and in Sweden it was more to the Erik or Gustav.... (all due to the royalty)
Revised list of the Khwarazmshahian names.
I used hyphen for some of the names, but I don't know if that's okay? So tell me if it's not so I can correct them.![]()
