    @Fair Prince:
Some guy experienced one issue a week back or so with MSC, caused by SSNOP: most characters in the Timurid Invasion don't spawn due to their names not being in the database, and on the following turn the game crashes due to it trying to move non-existant characters.
I'll get it fixed in MSC ofc, but thought you should get to know too

Thanks for pointing that out - could you perhaps send me a list of those characters?

Pretty much all except 2 of them IIRC.

Sure, but it would be much easier to me if I could get a complete list before the release, so those names could also be inserted into mod.
That would seriously improve the compatibility, which is the most important thing right now.

I don't have a list, sorry. And I'm a bit busy right now merging loads of files.

Normally those names should be found easily in the campaign_script. Right below each "spawn_army" line. There should be written "named_character blablabla" - or perhaps some other name.

Okay, I'll take care of those names, but unfortunately it will take some more time for me.
The 3rd Beta is now expected to be delayed for a couple of days.

SS 6.4 has been released in the process, so obviously I'll take that into consideration as well and will adjust the next Beta accordingly.
The ultimate goal is to make it compatible with both 6.3 and 6.4 (including savegames), and hopefully I'll able to do a release in the next couple of days!

Names didn't change that much in SS6.4... (psst! we are waiting for SSNOP!)

True, I only noticed a handful of changes since 6.3 (it's not an issue), the problem is with the campaign_script this time. As Meneth pointed out, it contains a lot of names that should also be included in the name files to avoid those ugly CTDs, and that's why I need a bit more time.

    Here is the list.

I've finished most of the names of men, women and the "from ...(city)" stuff up to 90%.

The real problem was making the surnames list, of which I know only the most used surnames. Although I can translate the other names, I've never heard them or seen them written before, therefore I cannot guarantee they'll be right so I didn't touch them. I suggest asking help from fellow Greeks as well because I don't want to write stuff by luck. Of those written I can guarantee they are 99% right.

By thus strengthening western front [those attending] believed Allies could hold until American forces arrive in numbers sufficient to gain ascendancy."

If there are missing too many there´s always the possibility to add "Rehakles".

Fair Prince asked me to translate all the Byzantine names to the Greek language and although the names used during the era of the ERE have remained unchanged and they are the ones used in modern Greece today (!) the surnames have changed a lot and it's kinda hard to know how they are properly written.

Great, thanks for doing that Manuel!
I'll see what I can do with the missing translations, but until that, have a nice rep for your good job!

Btw, I have just completed the new Beta, release is imminent folks!!

    Finally up!
It's already Monday here, so technically the mod wasn't released last week, but who cares about it anyway?! (That's just how modding goes!)

    Notable features:
    - Full SS 6.3 and 6.4 compatibility, though it's recommended to start a new campaign after installation
    - Added lots of new names: the names.txt file now contains 10100+ unique names compared with the vanilla SS 6.4's 7400
    - Also removed plenty of wrong names
    - Introduction of the brand new Sicilian names
    - Fixed transliterated letters for Eastern factions
    - (Hopefully) zero trailing space bugs

Installation instructions can be found in the readme file if needed.
    Enjoy, folks!

I haven't really read all the pages, but concerning the Swedish names; "till Årgus, till blabla, till blabla". "Till" means "to" in Swedish. It should be "af" as in "of".
August Strindberg: "There's a view, current at the moment even among quite sensible people, that women, that secondary form of humanity (second to men, the lords and shapers of human civilisation) should in some way become equal with men, or could so be; this is leading to a struggle which is both bizarre and doomed. It's bizarre because a secondary form, by the laws of science, is always going to be a secondary form. Imagine two people, A (a man) and B (a woman). They start to run a race from the same point, C. A (the man) has a speed of, let's say, 100; B (the woman) has a speed of 60. Now, the question is 'Can B ever overtake A?" and the answer is 'Never!'. Whatever training, encouragement or self-denial is applied, the proposition is as impossible as that two parallel lines should ever meet."

Thanks for pointing that out, the truth is that I haven't really dealt with Sweden names yet, I just asked Swedish buddy preachercheeze to create an initial list that could be used in the future. But considering that you are the first to find those mistakes, I'll give you the chance to correct the list at any time!

The correct titles during the early medieval ages was actually "Till" and not "af"... the "af" and later "von" came during the late medieval ages and during the more centralized state in the 16th century, when the nobility got it's titles...

damn... forum rules prohibits me to use swedish, but I can explain it better for you in that langauge...

Really, I had no idea of that. I have never seen or heard of it in my life. I'll look it up though, sounds interesting!
