Where have all the lovely Spaniards gone?!

Sorry I allready mentioned it in another thread,

but the impact the latest patch had on the game is not a good one. So I decided to open a thread, so that the protest does not go unheard. Not only did CA not mention their change from early spanish troops to late war ones. They also made it impossible for the player to get the units he once had back. Is this unit thievery now included in CA's policy and terms? It's not a gamerfriendly path they are heading with this patch.They could have just included these new troops into the existing spanish rooster or make them a faction on their own. They had different flags anyway. I just say:"Please CA, give me my once colourful and unique Spanish army back!"

Which spanish army was that? The army you had to mod the game for and they quite frankly don't give a damn about?

I agree, i like the new spanish units but i didnt think i was going to have the old ones taken away - i really liked the old style spanish uniforms. It doesnt seem right that we have lost so many units in a game.

The Spanish units were all changed. Now they have reskinned units with shakos and blue uniforms. And the mounted cazadores and guard cav are gone, replace by lancers and cuirassiers.

The guerillas for example have been removed without replacement. If they had only replaced or "updated" them I could quite understand, even when I'm not happy with this decision. But taking units away seems just not right. I'm eager to mod this faction back, I just don't know how! Also I loved the Cazadores Uniform...

Here's my private faction unlocker that brings back old Spain. Saxony, Scotland, Hessen, Hannover and Bavaria are also included.
It is also in patch format, so it should be MP compatible.

I only changes custom battle Spanish, it has nothing to do with the Pen campaign.

I miss the old style of Spanish uniform. The blue British supplied one didn't arrive until much later for most Spanish.Painting an 'authentic' Spanish army was always a headache for miniature wargamers but this chap had a good try

Well CA maybe just felt like Anglofying the Spanish because they're British themselves. This also might explain why the British are uniformed so perfectly.

It is possible to join the old units to the new ones???

Because i don´t want to lost the new guerrilla units!

Historically, supposedly the new line infantry was used by Spanish in those times, but i ever remember the blue and white uniforms like the most used during independence war...

At least, i see them in all independence war representation!

I loved old Spain indeed. Maybe they removed it just to make more ppl buy the DLC
