I want to play 3.0, but I threw out all the old battered hardcopies I had when I got all of them on Steam for like 10 dollars. Any chance 3.0 will be Steam friendly?

"...I'll look for something else. We're surrounded by water. Why are we eating knob?"
That means no![]()
That means - we don't know. We will try to make it Steam-friendly.
You should still be able to see your cd-keys for the game on your steam library, which means if you download an image or whatever via torrent you could install it as if it were from a cd and use the cd-key steam has stored for your game. Not sure if it would definately work but it's worth a try. It's not illegal because you own the game and are only using it for your own purposes and are not making any copies of it to distribute.

Not quite, because you distribute an application by downloading it via torrent. As soon as you have some parts of that application on your hard drive it is shared with other torrent users. And this is illegal, afaik, because you own only one copy with one cd-key ascribed to it. Unfortunately.
Well perhaps, but with Peerblock and him only having one copy for himself to use, already owning the game, I'm pretty sure he has all right to use it for back-up purposes without them being able to prove he shared a small amount of the game files.
After all, it's not as if he is just downloading the game and using a key generator, he's payed for the game, so I'm pretty sure no one on here would find any moral issues with it either, even if it's illegal, in a really petty way.
I guess this probably shouldn't be discussed so I won't comment further, only hope he finds a way.
