Spanish Church Schools

So, there is not an agent type who helps research techs like gentlemen did? Or, can priests reduce research times?

Nothing can reduce research times. Considering that each turn represents such a small amount of time, the current research times are sufficient in my opinion.

I don't mind the time it takes to research in the schools, I'm just surprised there isn't an agent to influence it in any way. Positive or negative.

Maybe a scholar or nun was more successfll at teaching, and/or brainwashing.

If you knew anything about the Spanish church you'd realise that priests should increase not reduce research times.

They were adamantly opposed to all innovation as a matter of principle and until the French abolished it still had the Inquisition (no one expects the Spanish Inquisition etc) to burn anyone who had new-fangled ideas.
