    Default Map Modification

To my knowledge the Suez Canal, which is what its called now, was a vital waterway to control because it allowed quick access into the Indian ocean and into Australia etc, but on the map, this route is blocked off, whereas ships would freqeuently use this access point in real life. I am referring to the 1547 campaign, but this imporvement could be applied to any of the campaigns. I was just wondering if it would be possible to add this water way in, because for example as England, I have to sail around South Africa which takes too long, but the suez canal would bring much quicker access to the south east asia section of the world. Attached is a campaign map picture with seperate coloured lines showing possible locations for the extra strip of water, of course it wont be exact due to the limits of the maps size, but I ask you to research the canal and choose a location for it.

The Suez canal didn't exist until the 19th century though.
