Questions about Peninsular Campaign

Hi I got some questions regarding the campaign. I just wonder

1. Historically, Did Polish legion, Swiss, Brunswick Infantry, KGL joined the campaign?
(Maybe polish legion actually did because their model has been reworked for the campaign, But I'm not sure about other )

2.Does the fort line above Lisbon (Lines of Torres Vedras) actually did anything to the battle scene? I would like to see screenshots too

Yes and Yes.

Troops of all the nations you mention fought in the Peninsula, either as part of the French or British Army, and there were a lot more foriegn units from other countries involved too.

The Lines of Torres Vedras were actually built in secret (even a lot of British Officers were kept in the dark about what was going on) http://www.peninsularwar.org/ltv.htm. This video explains the whole strategy and impact of the defence line.

Final Score: Lines of Torres Vedras + British/Portuguese Army = 6 months and 30,000 Frenchmen lost/Portugal Saved, for a few hundred British casualites.

I was reading about Lines of Torres Vedras on Wikipedia by the time you answered, they mentioned KGL too
Thanks for the interesting information ,but I actually meant in-game effect, like.....Does it appear in the battle?

I don't know I haven't actually bought the Peninsula DLC yet , but I'd be surprised if they do, and to a certain extent thats not a problem as Massena only tried a few probing attacks against them so they were more of a strategic obstical than a tactical one. Nevertheless, it would have been nice, like having the coast and islands included on the naval maps.
