The Russian Campaign DLC & Imperial Edition units DLC should be next!

Hi all,

I absolutely love the Napoleonic era. Very different, man.


Anyway, I hope that CA does release a "Russian Campaign" along with the Imperial Edition units DLC.


These 2 DLC's would be the capstone, for me, on NTW.

Sounds quite good to me. I'd like to see a DLC that adds a grand campaign incorporating a larger portion of the world, but I highly doubt this. I hope CA don't just leave N:TW now they've announced Shogun 2. Gotta do something until the new game comes out...

lol I never imagined I'd read this on these forums. I thought we were meant DLC for killing modding and milking the customer by releasing an incomplete game to be filled out with DLC blah blah. Certainly this was the case with Empire as the unit variety between factions is dire making all the units packs a must to add much needed variety. Rome and Medieval 2 both had better variety than Empire with plenty of units unique to different factions. I take it NTW's DLC is worth it and an improvement over ETW's?

The Peninsular Campaign is worth it.

I, for one, would greatly like the Imperial Edition DLC...All of it.
I would also like more of napoleon's historical battles & a Russian campaign.
That would be enough for me

Regarding modding:
I'm ALL for it man. Every TW release. Period.

And no, DLC doesn't kill modding it just adds a different twist to it.

Looks like the pre-order special units will be next just like with Empire remember USS consitution, Special Forces Units and so on etc. So seems like those who didn't get HMS Elephant, Scots Greys and so on should get them in the future sometime soon hopefully.

Well in CA's case DLC has killed modding.

I have said it before and ill say it again.

If they have any respect for imperial edition buyers they will wat at least a year and a half before releasing imperial dlc standalone.

No, they'll wait as long as they did to release the Special Forces units for ETW. And as far as DLC goes, there won't be anymore except for the eventual release of the Imperial Edition units.

Long live CA! I must say. NTW is the first TW game where I didnt use mods cause the quality is realy high and units have great detail. And I was part of RTR projects and Stainless Steel.

you're kidding?

I could definately go for some more DLC and another campaign. My choices would be the Russian campaign, the british war in afghanistan, or the crimean war. NTW FTW!

Rather, the company will be in 1813 in Germany and 1814 in France, because campaign in Russia is already in GC.

What about a campaign based on the 100 days reign?

Actually that's the same as the Battle of Waterloo in Napoleon's Battles, but only with extra videos and unit experience. I thought that they at least have a campaign map for the final battle of Napoleon.
So perhaps another DLC to play as Napoleon and battle through the Anglo-Prussian armies, and hold Italy and the Pyrenees against allied Austro-Sardinian and Spanish advances, before the final showdown with Barclay de Tolly's Russians.
Will be an awesome campaign!!!!

Pretty well exactly what I was getting at except no where near as artfully elaborated. Campaign would begin with Napoleon's return from exile, re-raising of the Old Guard, vanquishing of the coaltions french-puppet government, then surviving the onslaught of the coalition armies.

No doubts, this and other proposals are good and serious ... but you have to learn this:

NTW is now ready (maybe one unit DLC will come) and it is ready for CA as RTW, Med2TW and ETW is ready. So no further support for the game and no coming expansions etc. Now only Shogun 2 is important as game for CA and any proposals and so on are the same way useless as a proposal for RTW now.
