Default Anyone have a Mongol pagan submod?

I've made the mongols pagan and heretics, but they still have the imam characters and their buildings are either lithuanian or american indian. I was curious if any kcgm fans have or no of a sub mod that addresses the Mongol religon?

My goal is to keep them from Jihading to help antioch. And to keep them from spamming imams throughout kiev and lithuania.

I know how to edit the sm_factions and edb to change religion and edit recruitment rate. I'm looking more to creating a new religion for the mongols.

Thx for the link Stylix. I was hoping someone might have a submod with unique religious buildings and shaman units. Very helpful tut for the beginner although i ran into a ctd problem. The advanced stuff is way beyond my capabilities and resources.

Couldn't the mongols be made pagan like Lithuania? That could be an easy solution for the problem. Was there a chance for lithuania to convert to catholic faith or was it just in the Teuton campaign? Some kinda of a thing on the mongols enabling them to convert islam at the certain time would be nice on the players choose

The mongols without the Jihad are far less effective on the campaign map. Switching them back to Pagan would be like taking away one of the special ingredients that make them such tough buggers to beat.. Also for balance reasons if all the other factions can have full stacks with free upkeep from the start, then surely the mongols must have this ability as well? Jihading also encourages the mongols to threaten the Holy Lands and Constantinople something they would otherwise not do at all. Giving a little faction like Lithuania the option to convert was different. The mongols have been setup as the rising power in the east and they work exactly as intended right now.

I decided to leave them muslim for now. I did edit the recruitment rates for imams. I never saw antioch have a decent campaign so I was wanting to keep the jihads to the traditional muslim states. In a somewhat related note I tried my first Antioch campaign and it seems, at the moment, much easier than Jerusalem. I have had no problems defending against the turks and I love having horse archers. But I haven't had to fend off a jihad yet. I control Adana to Mosul and captured all but two Turk castles which are Smyrna and Tiblisi, both too far away from me to be of any concern. Cant wait to fight the byzantines, I never have before. Prince Bohemond always did hate the byzantines, fought them more than muslims. Which is another reason why i want Antioch to be able to last and the byzantines for that matter.

Well I used to get complaints all the time because Antioch were running riot in this mod

You should take away the garrison script at Adana instead and nerf the Turks

Normally in my campaigns I've seen Antioch gobbled up to the point they attack Jerusalem to gain land. Antioch is always getting jihads called on more so than Jerusalem. Which both factions are doomed and rightfully so, I;m just trying to stave off the inevitabled until the late 1200's.

Nerfing the Turks prolly would be best and it would help the byzantines who is overrun by the hungarians a lot in my campaigns.

The Mongols were made horribly wrong in MTW2. Why not do like it was done for the Kypchaks in BC (though they did not bother doing this for the Mongols!), give them portraits from old MTW1 Mongol ones. Also, the voices could be changed to Indian. About the religion and free upkeep for Jihads. It's an easy fix I always do with the Mongols after downloading a new mod, I change the king's treasury to an insane amount for the Mongols to make sure economy will not be a consern for them.
